Role Summary

We’re looking for someone with extensive experience with alternative credit scoring and microfinance in Bangladesh as well as other Asian countries to take the lead on project management and to provide connections for the development of our credit product.

The ideal candidate

• Has 5+ years of experience working with financial institutions in Bangladesh as it relates to lending
• Proven experience building relationships and effectively communicating with microfinance/financial business executives
• Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success how to lead project management and project planning in the areas of credit-related activities and credit risk management
• Experience working in rural communities and within the agricultural sector is preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact with Almond customers and partners
• Manage and plan pilots and partnerships, ensure project success and facilitate deployment of Almond’s credit risk assessment
• Take responsibility for pilot operations beyond customer acquisition (pilot implementation)
• Work closely with product team to communicate customer needs and troubleshoot product/service concerns
• Support business development efforts through partnership agreements with Bangladesh-based financial institutions (e.g. digital banks, mobile wallet providers, microfinance institutions).
• Participate in meetings to discuss credit product strategy, and offer guidance as it relates to identifying and addressing client needs by building and leveraging client relationships
• General advice on regional business and cultural requirements

Logistics

• Part time position (20+ hours per week)
• 6 month+ time commitment
• The position is remote with opportunities for travel, we are looking for someone based in Bangladesh

Compensation

• $400 USD / month salary
• Commission based pay available upon pilot completion and bringing in new business
