By building up the Product Development Center in Hungary, we opened our Budapest office just over three years ago to establish key Engineering and Customer Teams in this region. Software is at the heart of all aspects of Formlabs products. We aim to bring innovative 3D printers to the desks and shops of designers, artists, and professionals the world over. Our software is integral to ensuring exceptional experiences with our products as it bridges the transition from digital models to beautiful physical forms in 3D printing. The Software Team develops the printer firmware that drives our hardware, PreForm, the most powerful and intuitive desktop print application with advanced 3D geometric and print algorithms and our web-based monitoring tools.

Formlabs’ embedded team is responsible for developing the applications running on all Formlabs machines that drive the print process, implement user workflows and integrate with PreForm. If you are interested in automating workflows we want you on our team as an Embedded Release Engineering Intern.

The job:

  • Help with managing firmware releases for Formlabs products
  • Work with our release engineers in automating/improving release pipelines
  • Work on our framework for automated testing of embedded software

You:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering Informatics, Economic Informatics, Program Planning Informatics, or related field preferred. Ongoing studies
  • Interested in the software release process based
  • Comfortable with Python, Docker and shell scripting
  • Having a strong product mindset and ownership
  • Excited to work with an interdisciplinary marketing and engineering team
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment

Bonus Skills:

  • Knowledge of the 3D printing domain
  • Experience with Yocto and/or Jenkins
