The Formlabs software team is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager for the Engineering Platform Team. The Engineering Platform Team at Formlabs is dedicated to developing and maintaining a unified, efficient, and scalable platform for our engineering operations. Our mission is to empower our engineers with the best tools, infrastructure, and practices to enhance productivity, collaboration, and innovation. Our primary goal is to provide Formlabs software engineers with the tools, infrastructure, and processes they need to build, test, and deploy software efficiently and effectively.

Our immediate customers are Formlabs engineers, who consistently strive to deliver better code faster. We develop and operate a set of engineering tools and services including build tools, verification services such as test execution, engineering reporting, data analysis, and running final manual tests. All efforts work towards creating a unified engineering system for internal Formlabs needs. The team leads by example in driving culture change, experimenting with different approaches, building on what works, and moving away from what doesn’t. We focus on areas where we can make a substantial impact, engaging with teams ready for change, and helping them achieve it through a diversified engagement model.

The Job:

• Manage Quality Assurance and Developer Experience team for a total of 7 direct reports
• Software engineering tooling such as build systems and deployment pipelines.
• Automation frameworks for building, testing, and deploying software
• Establish and promote standardized engineering processes
• Determine monitoring and analytics for our products, engineering tools and infrastructure.
• Create engineering documentation and training
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

You:

• Proven experience leading multiple teams of software and quality engineers.
• A passion for enabling teams to deliver better software faster.
• Knowledge of contemporary build systems, quality engineering practices, and automation frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholder teams.
• A track record of driving continuous improvement in engineering processes and tools.
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• A commitment to fostering a culture of quality, efficiency, and collaboration within the engineering team.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and stay current with industry best practices.
