Job Title: Research Pharmacy Technician
Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing Physicians’ medication orders and formulate accurate doses for trial usage
- Assist in the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of investigational drugs for clinical trials in accordance with protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Ensure proper storage conditions for investigational drugs, including temperature monitoring and stock management
- Assist with inspecting and replenishing crash carts, check for completeness and expiration dates, and replace out of date medications
- Record patient data in systems database
- Clean manufacturing areas and equipment to ensure safety guidelines and regulations are met
- Sterilize materials as needed when used in a sterile environment
- Support with material receipt and warehouse management
- Support the completion process of study binders
- Support Pharmacists in preparing study drug information and ensuring compliance with study protocols
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure timely and accurate drug dispensing to study participants
Your profile:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Required
- 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Strong organization skills
- Detail oriented with an ability to follow precise instructions
- Strong communication skills with an ability to work with a team and independently
- Computer skills including advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with sterile compounding (preferred) and aseptic technique
- Clinical Research experience and familiarity with investigational drug protocols (preferred)
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
