Job Description

Mori is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Sr. Associate. The Sr. Associate of Procurement Operations will lead the rationalization of tail spend across all procurement categories, drive procurement process efficiencies, develop and manage the supplier engagement process. This role reports to the Manager, FP&A and Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process orders using the internal chemical ordering system, providing support to R&D departments.
  • Ensure completion of the entire Procure-to-Pay cycle by working in tandem with Receiving and Accounts Payable departments to resolve challenges regarding delivery, invoicing, and the handling of returned materials to suppliers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather comprehensive requirements and specifications for various goods and services.
  • Lead the end-to-end RFP processes, maintaining the integrity of supplier selection and adhering to Mori’s procurement policy and legal contracting standards.
  • Establish and manage a centralized repository for all procurement-related data, encompassing supplier details, pricing information, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Generate performance analytics and reports that cover procurement function insights, supplier offerings, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and uphold department metrics, while continuously driving improvements within the department.
  • Monitor back-order reports and collaborate closely with planning, manufacturing, and product teams to facilitate seamless scheduled activities.
  • Assist in the identification of new raw materials and those required for development projects.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, comprehend procedures and requirements, and adhere to change control regulations (FDA, ISO) to guarantee quality and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, technology, finance, engineering, or supply chain management
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing
  • High proficiency with Excel, skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in data analysis or statistics
  • Proven history of managing multiple sourcing projects simultaneously
  • Ability to gather and analyze data to show trends and provide proper recommendations/solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable and professional when interacting with people across the organization.
  • Proactive approach to daily tasks and projects
  • Demonstrate independent critical analysis capability and comfort working with ambiguity.
  • Critical thinking and able to identify complex issues and solutions, anticipate questions, provide practical solutions, and offer insightful direction.

Compensation

  • Base salary range from $80,000 - $95,000 based on experience.
