About the Role

As an Account Executive at Perch, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by connecting organizations with our innovative strength training solutions. You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting and outreach to closing deals with a diverse range of clients, including professional sports teams, collegiate programs, high schools, military installations, and fitness facilities.

In this role, you will work closely with our sales, marketing, and client success teams to understand client needs, present Perch’s core product suite (Plan, Evaluate, and Train), and provide tailored solutions that enhance athletic performance and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads across professional, collegiate, and high school athletics, the military, and performance facilities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Travel as needed to meet with potential customers, deliver in-person product demos, and foster strong client relationships.
  • Master product knowledge and brand messaging to deliver compelling, seamless pitches.
  • Share relevant customer use-case data with prospective clients to demonstrate real-world impact.
  • Track all sales activities in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and up-to-date account information.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, client success, product, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on sales initiatives, customer feedback, and product development opportunities.
  • Provide market insights by reporting on trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform go-to-market strategy.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay informed on industry best practices and technological advancements in strength training and sports performance, positioning Perch as a thought leader.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven Sales Experience: Minimum of 3 years in B2B sales, ideally within fitness technology, sports performance, or related fields, with a strong history of closing deals worth $20K+.
  • Strong Sales Performance: Consistently exceeded quarterly and annual sales quotas with a proven ability to manage a pipeline of 50+ accounts at varying stages of the sales cycle.
  • Industry Expertise: Direct experience selling into professional sports teams, collegiate programs, military installations, or performance facilities. Understanding of the strength training or sports technology space is preferred.
  • Technical Aptitude: Experience with technology products and platforms, with the ability to quickly learn and present new features. Previous experience conducting product demos is essential.
  • Data-Driven: Strong ability to analyze and interpret sales data, using insights to adjust sales strategies. Proficiency with Salesforce, Salesloft, or similar CRM and sales engagement tools is required.
  • Outbound Coordination: Experience in coordinating and managing outbound sales cadences, ensuring consistency and strategic follow-up with prospects.
  • Willingness to Travel: Available to travel for in-person meetings, client presentations, and industry events.

Location and Travel

  • Location: Remote position, with a preference for candidates based in Texas or California.
  • Travel: Travel is expected but will vary.
